| Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese Crostini
Suggested Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon |

| Crostini | |
| Ingredients: | 12 slices of sweet French bread baguette Good olive oil |
| Directions: | Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the bread slices on a cookie sheet. Brush the slices with olive oil and bake for about 12 minutes or until lightly golden. |
| Cherry Compote | |
| Ingredients: | 1 cup dried cherries 1 cup St. Francis Cabernet Sugar to taste |
| Directions: | In a heavy bottomed saucepot simmer red wine and cherries on a low flame for about 20 minutes or until the wine has been absorbed into the cherries and they have plumped up nicely. Let cool, cover and refrigerate. Cherry compote keeps for several weeks in the refrigerator. |
| Assemble | |
| Ingredients: | ¼ pound Humboldt Fog goat cheese, or substitute goat cheese |
| Directions: | Spread about 1 teaspoon of the goat cheese on each crostini. Top with two cherries. |
